I acknowledge
I do not agree / acknowledge
Foster Agreement. Check each line and sign below.
*
I agree to comply with all local and state laws and ordinances relating to the care of domestic animals, and will not engage in any illegal activity with my foster animal.
I understand that no foster animal is allowed outside unattended and unrestrained.
I understand that no foster animal is allowed to be left unattended with children.
I understand that the animal I am taking into foster care may not be housetrained and I am willing to train the cat and give him time to adjust to the litter box.
I understand that the animal I am taking into foster care may not be accustomed to living indoors and may scratch or soil my furniture or belongings. If my foster animal is destructive, I will confine him to a safe area where he cannot do damage and will work to positively modify his behavior.
I will use only positive reinforcement for training and I will not use any kind of physical punishment, regardless of behavior issues.
I understand that there are no guarantees of the behavior, health or disposition of my foster animal.
I understand that my foster animal may take some time to adjust to new situations, people, and other animals in the home.
I understand that a foster animal must stay in my care; if for any reason my foster animal is kept in a location other than the address on this application or in the care of another person, I will notify YBRR immediately.
I understand that a foster animal cannot be placed in a new home without the adopter finalizing all YBRR adoption paperwork.
If I decide that I cannot follow through on my foster care commitment, I will give YBRR 24 hours notice. However, if at any time I feel that my safety or the safety of my family or resident animals is at risk, I can return my foster animal immediately.
I will not take my foster to the vet unless authorized by YBRR first. I will contact YBRR if any emergent vet care is needed prior to bringing my animal to the vet.
If my animals are to become ill due to the foster cat, YBRR will cover vet bills if brought to a veterinary office associated with YBRR. Vet bills will not be reimbursed if animal is taken to personal vet that is not associated with YBRR.
I understand YBRR shall not be held responsible for any damages, costs, or expense resulting from this placement; including, but not limited to, damage or injury to persons property.
I understand reclaiming of the cat (if needed) shall not be considered a trespass or theft.
I understand the cat must be made available to adopters and YBRR as necessary
By checking this box, I am affirming I understand and agree to the foster agreement.
